GATSBY continues to expand its presence as the most well-known standard men’s cosmetics brand favored by young men for day-to-day use.

GATSBY brand was born in Japan in 1978.
It was produced by Mandom Corporation, a manufacturer of cosmetics and beauty products established in 1927.
Ever since its stage of development, the theme of the series is "the fundamental mankind's love". Its brand name was in fact almost decided on another proposed idea. However, the then president Mr Hikoji Nishimura read F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and sympathized about Gatsby's way of life. Consequently the series was titled "GATSBY" after resolution of copyright and trademark right issues.
Now GATSBY has grown into a total grooming brand with products of various categories including hair styling, face care, body care, shaving, hair color and fragrance to name just a few.
Since the very beginning, GATSBY's mission has always been "to support men around the world to achieve their aspirations". We are always listening to consumers and investigating what they like.
